DENVER – So many things marked an unforgettable week for UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling, it’s difficult to lead with one. From Gavin Mannion and Katie Hall winning the Colorado Classic overall, to Serghei Tvetcov and Leah Thomas coming in second. A historic moment for the team, and the race.
VAIL, Colo. – Doing perhaps his best ride of the season, Mannion rocked Colorado Classic’s uphill time trial in Vail, with he and his teammate Serghei Tvetcov claiming the only sub-26 minute times on the 16km course from Vail Village to Vail Pass.
VAIL, Colo. – A fairy tale day doesn’t even begin to describe UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling women’s team performance on stage 2 of Colorado Classic. Hall powered into the overall lead after an incredible time trial effort from Vail Village to near the top of Vail Pass, 26 seconds ahead of her teammate, Leah Thomas.
VAIL, Colo. – Travis McCabe claimed second on the first day of the Colorado Classic stage race, winning the bunch sprint after a late solo breakaway from Aevolo’s Gage Hecht disrupted the peloton’s organization.
VAIL, Colo. – From the word “go,” UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling brought the challenge to the rest of its competitors who took the start line in Vail for the second edition of the Colorado Classic. Stage 1 was a short, hard race consisting of four laps of a 14km circuit with a dirt road climb, that saw the team race aggressively and shatter the 80-rider peloton into just 30 by the time the stage ended.
UnitedHealthcare pro cyclists teamed with the Denver Police Department today to donate 100 new bike helmets and provide bike safety demonstrations to kids from the YMCA of Metro Denver at the Dora Moore Elementary School.
